Pierre de Bresse castle

Built in the 17th century by the wealthy Thiard family, the architecture of the Château de Pierre-de-Bresse is inspired by the palace of Versailles. It is home to the Bresse heritage museum, situated in the north of the Bresse bourguignonne region. Discover the secrets of Bresse, from its rich history of craftsmanship, to its distinctive bocage landscape of hedge-lined fields interspersed with ponds and tributaries. Grab a hot drink in the café or enjoy a walk on the 30 hectares grounds surrounding the listed building.
